Explanation Writing

My Reflection:

I have been learning about explanation writing.I now know that explanation writing tells about how something works.  I found the quiz tricky because I didn't know the answers.  I need to go back and reread the information.  My next step is to write an explanation.

Learning About Adjectives

I was learning to add adjectives to give my sentences more meaning.

I have to remember to use adjectives that make the picture clear for my reader.

I thought this activity was hard because it was hard to think of the words.

My best adjective was indinreingnes because those are my birds.

My next step is to use adjectives in my own stories to make them interesting.

My African Praise Poem

My reflection.

I have been learning to write an African praise poem.

Autumn cinquain

We were learning how to write a cinquain poem.  We wrote poems to describe Autumn Leaves.  I liked writing ht poem because it was really interesting.  One part that was hard was writing it because I didn't really know which on to do first - to do it on the computer or on the book first.  I couldn't do it at the same time.  My favourite part of my poem is how I got it done and how I chose what to write.

Learning to write instructions.

I found this activity easy because I copied my ideas from the whiteboard. I am proud of doing a good job. My next step with writing instructions is to write down all my ideas.
