My Reflection

I have been learning to answer questions about the story.  I found this easy to read the story but tricky to answer answer the questions.  My next step is to work independently and not get sidetracked.

We have been learing to read loud using expression.We need to look at the punctuation to help use expression. I enjoyed this because it was actually really fun and I liked acting out the play.  My next step is to keep working on my fluency and remembering the names of the girls. 

Finding and Summarising Information in the Text

I have been learning to find and summarise information.  We read a book about machine that fly.  I found this tricky because I didn't really understand the questions.  My next step is to ask someone to help me understand.

Recognising and understanding prefixes

My reflection

I have been learning to recognise and understand prefixes. I know now that when a prefix like 'un' is added to the beginning of word ti changes the meaning. This can help me understand what  words mean.  This was new learning for me and I found it easy to understand. My next step is to learn different prefixes.

Venn Diagram New Years Comparison

IALT find similarities and differences in a text.  We have been reading about Chinese New Year.  We used a venn diagram to compare Chinese and New Zealand New Year.  I found this tricky because I didn't know which sentences should go in which box.  My next step is to know more about Chinese New Year.
